It worked!!!  I posted this from my phone this afternoon!!  Very exciting!  Glad it worked!

He's a Preschooler!!!

Yeah, Griffin's going to preschool!!

 

Today is the first day of preschool for Griffin.   So I took the official "first day of school" photos.....  His sister didn't want to be left out!

No, they are not in trouble.... I asked them to turn around so I could see their backpacks, and they got really close to the wall....  silly kiddos!  :)

We were there a bit early, so we got to take a special picture with his teachers:  Mrs. Knapp (right) and associate Mrs. Willhite (left). 

Praying now as I type this for a great year of Preschool!!! 

Now just a little over a year behind.....

Today I ordered Griffin's third year scrapbook..... which means he just turned three in my photo book collection.  At least he's growing up.... Ainsley hasn't even broken onto the scene yet....  That is changing, though, as I've digitally scrapped (is that even a verb?) up through 3 months old for her.  I just haven't completed enough to order her a book yet.  (As of right now I'm doing one book per year for each of them.  We'll see how long that lasts, and when I decide to add or just change to doing a family book.)   Here's one of my pages from his book.....

Now, back to working on Ainsley's 1st book so I can get the order placed while I still have a 35% off deal!!!   Oh.....  and tomorrow, this boy goes to preschool!  Stay tuned for first day of school pics!!!

A glimpse of things to come??!!??

He had a great time driving around Washington Park during Jeep Mania 2011.  Daddy worked really hard to organize a day of off-road fun for the Cedar Valley, and Griffin got to bring his Jeep to enjoy the day.  Our friends came to the event as well.

Griffin got to chauffeur his friends around the park as well.  They all had a blast!

Growing up....

 It's hard to believe my baby is almost 2!  She no longer is lagging behind in gross motor skills.... Most days it's hard to remember when she didn't walk/run all over the place.  She is talking up a storm, and very much trying to keep up with her brother.  Her favorite phase is, "ME TOO!!"  I'm loving this age, and trying to savor all of her "little-ness."  Too soon, she will be off to school like her brother will be doing next week!! (tear)

Pebble Lake 2011

We took a few days to go to Pebble Lake in Fergus Falls, MN in early August.  My family has been gathering at this little lake for most of my life.  It's been harder for us to coordinate getting there over the past few years due to work schedules and kiddo's ages..... but we decided to go for it this year.  The kids traveled pretty well in the car (yes, we did use the services of a DVD player and iTouch....)

 My dad was there when we arrived, so Griffin got to skip rocks and fish with Grandpa. 

Daddy got into the action, too.  He fished with Griffin from the shore, and took both kiddos on wave runner rides.  Griffin enjoyed the 50mph, Ainsley... not so much!

Here are a few more pictures to round out this post.  All in all we had a good time, and I got to ski on some glorious water!!!!

Happy 4th.... of July!

 A friend of mine always has the cutest pictures of her 4! kiddos in red, white, and blue clothing, so this year I was inspired to take a shot of my own little ones dressed for Independence Day.  Hey... at least they were both looking at the camera with pleasant faces donned, AND they look like they like each other!!!  (We are fast entering the stage where we realize that picking on our sibling is fun.....)

A new place to share....

I'm testing out this "new to me" site for sharing our family adventures.  It's time consuming learning to navigate a new way of blogging.  I hope to get the hang of it quickly, so I can join the blogging world again soon!!

Getting the word out will be another matter....  Not sure how to do that yet.  Debating on whether or not I want to password protect it or not.....
